A nostalgic 90s tale about vinyl hunting, in support of record shops, released in time for record store day in April 22nd 2023

“Music is a major part of my upbringing and it was important to capture events that I enjoyed growing up. Vinyl purchasing on a Saturday afternoon before playing out was key to my weekend life. Finding the right tunes was important , but essentially being part of something and belonging somewhere was so much more. The DJs, promoters and friends met in a loud record shop in town on a Saturday afternoon shaped most of my early years as a DJ and producer.”

“The video was shot in Portsmouth, where I did lots of of my record buying (Fusion Records / So What Records, Withit Waxx) and features the first MC that I worked with, Southampton’s finest, MC Jukie (Foor). I consulted with some mates from back in the day to try and add as much to the experience as possible. It was great to get together with the old skool heads to get the vibe as close as possible. Samhain Carter-Brazier put on the final touches after we filmed.”
